Scary Thoughts.

Someone pointed out to me last Friday night that I hadn't done a blog post in over a month (Brad, in case you're reading this! haha) and after that I was planning on doing a "my-life-according-to-Instagram" type post, but I was too lazy to even do that over the weekend.

The reason I haven't been active on here lately is due to work and my dreaded first CA exam tomorrow morning. I've had the past week off on study/procrastination leave and haven't really been able to concentrate on much else.

I agreed to be a model for a little hair show today and was plaited, crimped and teased up like Scary Spice. Of course I couldn't let it all go to waste and took some happy snaps when I got home (more goodies below). I actually had a nice relaxing day today and haven't really thought about tomorrow's exam much, which I think is good otherwise I probably would have made myself sick.

Usually right now (night before an exam) I'd be cramming and preparing notes to put under my pillow in the hope that the knowledge will float through and imbed itself in my dreams (or perhaps cause some unwanted nightmares!) However, I think writing this post is a much better way of spending my time :)

I think I've come to terms with the fact, if it al goes downhill tomorrow then I only have myself to blame for procrastinating during the week, and that failing something is not the end of the world...

... there's always the supplementary ;)

Melbourne via Instagram.

So for the last 2 weeks I've been over in Melbourne for work and since I'm lazy I didn't bring my camera with me so I thought I'd do another my-life-according-to-instagram post.

We ended up having to work an extra day so I didn't get to do as much wandering around the city as I would have liked (kicking myself for not taking more photos of the street art), but we did end up getting to the football and some rooftop bars on a chilly night.

I kind of lost my shopping mojo while I was over there, which I guess is a good thing, since I'll have more moolah for Hong Kong at the end of the year :)

Chai and macarons from Brunetti. Eagles vs Cats. Botox @ the Croft Institute. Old distiller also @ Croft. Post night out breakfast (at lunch time). Post-post night out breakfast cupcake from Little Cupcakes. Room service wagyu beef burger. All the crap I managed to fit in my handbag. Bentley inside Thoroughbred. More macarons.

It's Light Outside

Happy Saturday!

How cute is this hoodie my BF had made for our anniversary (there's a super cheesy photo of us on the back haha!). And because I'm so gangsta' he got me one like a trillion sizes too big, but it's super comfy for slothing around the house on a day like today.

My list for today includes sorting out my washing, cleaning my room, picking up a dress for tonight and possibly firing up my laptop to get some work done (hello TOIL!)

This sunshine outside is a welcome change, might just have to add a walk to my list and see if I can get a hint of a tan :P

Up and atom.

Collie, Take 2.

Spent another week in Collie for work and just got home earlier tonight with a nice parcel waiting for me on the kitchen bench. But more on that later ;)

This trip I actually got to go out on a mine instead of sitting in an office, I must say it was quite a little adventure aside from all the work I had to do.

It's always nice to come home..

Honey, I'm home!

Spent the week away down south for work. We were out at a mine site near Collie and staying in Bunbury, so always started the day with a 40-odd minute chilly drive out to the site. Driving back to Bunbury from work one day there was this AMAZING view over a clearing we could see rolling hills and the sun was just beaming epically through the clouds. I'm still kicking myself for leaving my camera at the hotel that day :( Anyway, I actually had a better time than I thought I would and am semi looking forward to coming back in 3 weeks!

Work, Wedges and the Weekend.

Well, I survived my first week of 'work'. I use the inverted commas since we didn't do any actual work, but spent the week doing training so I start doing client work next week. Hopefully I don't send any companies bankrupt by accident :P

Last night marked our first Friday Night Drinks and as per tradition, all the new Grads had to introduce themselves and tell an embarrassing story. Mine involved trying to get into my car with some friends and only realising after a few minutes, that it was in fact not my car...

After drinks I headed to my oldest friend's place where she was holding a Girls Night In. This included dinner, some amazing dessert, being wowed at her brother's friend's ability to be a gentleman and offer to collect dishes and rinse them before placing them in the dishwasher (I know, right!) and ended with us watching Angry Boys and giggling at various youtube videos.

On another note, I purchased some new shoes this morning while running errands and they combine two recent trends that I have yet to commit to: wedges and khaki. I guess they are more brown than green khaki, but I'm still claiming it. They are super comfy and the other thing I love about them was that they came with a 'SALE' sticker (50% off to be precise and the last in my size!) which is always a helpful backup when justifying footwear purchases :D

This weekend I have yet another 21st (two actually) plus my man's birthday on Sunday so I'm being kept on the run- it's a good thing those new shoes are comfy ;)

Pardon the lack of creativity re: the photos, but I was in a bit of a rush :[
